In 1975 Kiss also released a live album titled 'Alive!', which reached Gold certification, one of their live singles hitting Top 40 on the charts. The next album was 'Destroyer' in 1976, which spawned 'Beth', a ballad which performed well on the radio.

Since 1976, Kiss was on a roll, releasing 'Rock and Roll Over' in 1976 and 'Love Gun' in 1977, both very successful. Along with 'Alive II', these three albums got Platinum certification. In 1978 they released a first album with greatest hits, namely 'Double Platinum'. The song 'Strutter ‘78' became one of their trademark songs.
