WHO AND WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?
Manufacturer: Springfield Armory Model: 1911A1 90's Mil-Spec Serial Number: NM544181 Caliber Info.45 ACP Condition: Pre-Owned Metal Condition: 100% Bore Condition: 100% Barrels: 5 Action: Semi-Auto Triggers: Single Finish: Parkerized Weight: 2lb 7oz Extras: 1 Set Grip Panels Case: Factory Case Item Location: Springfield, MO. Springfield armory serial number lookup I am confused about the shotgun's serial number. I have tried to look it up but get confused by the number among models. The serial falls in the gap of WWII guns so despite the wear and tear, if I read it right, mine might have been made in 64/65 but I am nowhere near confident of that assumption. A lot of debate has gone around on the internet about what the 'NM' serial number prefix stands for. Some believe that it stands for 'National Match', which is typically the case when you see that marking, however it's not so with Springfield 1911's. It is well known that Springfield Armory Inc. 1911's start from IMBEL forgings from Brazil. These pistols have 'Springfield Custom' etched on the slide, and will have the 'NM'p refix to the serial number.” Also I think the “TGO-1/2/3” pistols have an “RL” prefix – not 'TGO-1/2/3' in the serial number. My SACS Custom Carry with a custom shop certificate dated 8/29/06 carries a NM prefix and is built on a National Match.
