Neat has an incredibly unique story in the tech space. We began offering a desktop expense tool and became the first vendor to develop a fully integrated software/hardware bundle. Neat software, coupled with the family of Neat Scanners was a first in the industry.

Jun 01, 2016 I for one am unimpressed. I bought the neat scanner for desktop use. Once I'd scanned in hundreds of receipts, an update moved all of my stuff to the cloud. I can't access it anymore unless I buy a subscription. No help whatsoever for NEAT except to send me a 'sync link' that doesn't even correspond to the screen view I'm seeing. If you already using a retired version of Neat, then you can continue using the product as is. Retired versions of Neat do not require a subscription fee for use. Please keep in mind that the retired desktop software is not supported and the installation link for these versions are no longer available. No, however you can continue to use your Neat software without a subscription with your Neat hardware, however it is not designed to work with third-party hardware. To use other manufacturer’s scanners, you must utilize our Cloud software. How do you use a neat portable scanner? Neat Receipts Desktop Scanner –. What are the system requirements for Neat?

Neat is a web-based cloud application that can be accessed using a web browser like Chrome (Recommended), FireFox, and Safari. You must have an active Neat Cloud subscription plan in order to use Neat.

How do I login and access Neat?

1. Go to app.neat.com
2. Enter your existing Neat user name and password credentials.

How do I get my items into Neat?

There are many ways to get items into Neat such as:

• Snap a picture of your items with the Neat Mobile App.
• Email items directly to your Neat account using Neat’s Neat Cloud email address feature.
• Import items from your computer directly into New Neat.
• Scan items into Neat using the Desktop Scan Utility.

How To Use Neat Without Subscription

• This utility allows you to scan documents into Neat or save them to your local computer (PC/Mac) from a Neat-branded scanner or any TWAIN-compliant scanning device.
• If you have an existing Neat software subscription, simply login using your Neat credentials and select “Scan to Neat” as your destination. If you do not have an active Neat subscription, you can scan your documents directly to your computer--no subscription required for this functionality.

Install the Desktop Scan Utility

1. Your download for this software will automatically begin shortly. Once your download is complete, click on the app to start the installation. You can locate the downloaded file in your downloads folder. If your download does not start automatically, then please click one of the links below:
